When it comes to an iconic sports car like the Porsche 911, change is usually measured in gradual increments. A millimeter here, a slight change to a curve there, update the technology and call it done. What Porsche can’t afford to do is alienate the brand loyalists who’ve purchased the 911, in all of its forms, over the past 48 years.
When I was a little kid, I always thought the XJS was super-cool. I never saw such a one as this, but then I didn't watch Trans Am series when I was a baby. This one, spotted by Speedhunters at Laguna Seca, has been preserved exactly as it was after running its last race in Mexico City in 1978! I love the old-school box-flare widebody treatment, and I love that it's still running the original 5.3L V12.
I've seen a few people build Charger convertibles (like this one at the Mopars Unlimited 30th Annual Spring Round-Up), but this is the first time I've seen someone build a Daytona droptop. What do you think? If you want it, it's for sale at Hemmings for $59,000.

We like the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. In our eyes, it is powerful, fast, and is the best interpretation to date of Cadillac’s Art and Science theme. So when Hennessey announced a limited-edition 1,000-hp package for the two-door, we grew slightly flustered.
Hennessey throws out the 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 for a Z06-derived 7.0-liter unit with two turbochargers. It also cites a host of internal upgrades including a new crank, rods, heads, cams, injectors, and pistons and the addition of an intercooler and boost controller. Choice of a six-speed manual or automatic transmission remains, although both have been reinforced to handle the extra horsepower.
